KUCHING: The Rumah Spektra Permata (RSP) Hulu Kabong project highlights the Sarawak government’s commitment to providing quality and affordable housing for local communities.
Kabong Assemblyman Datuk Mohamad Chee Kadir said the development reflected the state’s continuous efforts to ensure well-built homes for residents, particularly B40 households. He also praised the Housing Development Corporation (HDC) for implementing initiatives that make homeownership accessible.
Built under the Village Expansion Scheme, the RSP Hulu Kabong development comprises 50 double-storey units designed for family living. Each unit features a built-up area of 800 square feet, with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room, kitchen, and car porch.
The project utilised the Industrialised Building System (IBS) and achieved an efficiency score of 73 per cent, reflecting modern construction standards.
During the key handover ceremony at the Kabong Police Station Hall on February 6, 34 prospective homeowners received replica keys symbolising their upcoming homeownership.
Also present at the event were HDC chairman Abdul Yakub Arbi and HDC chief executive officer Fathi Hambali.
