SERIAN: A total allocation of RM1.1 million has been channelled to implement seven Rural Transformation Project (RTP) initiatives in the Tebedu constituency.

The project site handover session was conducted through a document signing ceremony witnessed by Tebedu state assemblyman, Dr Simon Sinang Bada, at the working site area today (Feb 11) .

He advised contractors to take advantage of the current favourable weather conditions to begin work immediately, ensuring early completion and avoiding potential losses.

According to him, the initiative aims to encourage villagers to develop and cultivate idle land with commercial crops such as oil palm, pineapple and coffee, thereby increasing income and improving the socio-economic status of the rural community in the Tebedu constituency.

Among the projects handed over were the upgrading of agricultural roads in Kampung Plaman Nyabet, Kampung Jenan, Kampung Sejijag Mawang and Kampung Payau Burus.

Other projects include the construction of a road embankment leading to Kampung Tubih Mawang, the construction of a concrete drain along Jalan Salad in Kampung Bidak Plaman, as well as the upgrading of the Muslim cemetery in Kampung Darul Imam, Tebedu.

For the record, all agricultural road projects are scheduled to be implemented within six months starting from today .
