KUCHING: The Kuching District Social Welfare Department is seeking the biological mother or next of kin of a baby boy who was found at the Baby Hatch of Borneo Medical Centre on Feb 3.

In its statement, the department said the baby was estimated to be about 10 days old when discovered.

“He was wrapped in a brown towel and accompanied by a note stating, “AIDEN ISAAC, 3 FEB 2026 @ 0724 hrs, IBAN, KRISTIAN,” it said.

The department said efforts to locate the biological mother or relatives are aimed at facilitating further welfare action, including birth registration for citizenship determination and assessing suitable care or placement arrangements in the best interest of the child.

Biological parents or legitimate relatives are urged to come forward and contact Protector Norazman Abdul Rahim at 082-507111 or 082-507999, via email at norazmanrahim@jkm.gov.my, or visit the office in person for further arrangements.

The department also assured that the confidentiality of any mother or relative who comes forward will be fully protected.
