DARO: A total of 908 houses in the constituency have been repaired under the Minor Rural Project – Sarawak Poor Home Improvement Project (MRP-PPRMS) since 2018, involving an overall allocation of RM6.5 million.

Daro state assemblyman, Dr Safiee Ahmad, said the achievement reflected the Sarawak Government’s sustained efforts to ensure low-income families in rural areas could live in safer and more comfortable homes.

“Providing safe and conducive housing formed a fundamental basis for safeguarding a family’s well-being,” he said when visiting four recipients’ houses under the MRP-PPRMS Daro Phase 4/2025 in Kampung Nangar Besar and Kampung Pangtray on Wednesday (Feb 18).

Safiee said that each repaired house went beyond physical structural improvements, as it also brought renewed hope and motivation for recipients to improve their standard of living.

He assured the Sarawak Government would continue to prioritise rural development to ensure communities in remote areas were not left behind in the state’s overall development agenda.
