SIBURAN: Four Indonesian men were injured after the Perodua Alza MPV they were travelling in crashed into a road divider along Jalan Panchor on the Kuching–Serian road today.
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said the driver was pinned inside the vehicle while three passengers managed to get out but sustained injuries.
Firefighters from the Siburan station, assisted by the Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) team from Serian, were dispatched to the scene after receiving a distress call at 1.38pm.
The driver was extricated from the vehicle while the three passengers were handed over to medical personnel for further treatment.
The driver, who suffered an open wound on his right leg, was taken to Serian Hospital using the EMRS vehicle accompanied by a medical officer.
The operation concluded after the situation was declared safe.
