MIRI: Frontline healthcare workers at Miri Hospital received 400 portions of bubur lambuk on Tuesday, in a community initiative aimed at recognising their sustained service during long working hours.

The distribution, organised by SABERKAS Pujut under its SABERKAS Prihatin programme, was officiated by Miri Mayor Adam Yii Siew Sang, with Miri Hospital director Dr Jack Wong in attendance.

Volunteers handed out the Ramadan staple across hospital departments as a gesture of appreciation for medical staff.

SABERKAS Pujut chairman Warziedea Ahmad said the initiative forms part of ongoing outreach efforts to support healthcare workers and strengthen community engagement.

The programme was carried out in collaboration with PERKEP Hospital Miri and the Brighton Women’s Association.
