KUCHING: Members of the public are invited to the Hari Raya Aidilfitri Open House at Astana Negeri Sarawak, which will be held on the first day of Raya from 9am to 4pm.
According to a statement, Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, and Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi extended their Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri greetings, Maaf Zahir dan Batin, to all Muslims in Sarawak.
Wan Junaidi and Fauziah will receive guests from 10am to 3pm during the open house.
Visitors attending the event are advised to dress neatly and appropriately.
Men are encouraged to wear complete traditional Malay attire with a tengkolok or songkok, while non-Muslim men may wear long-sleeved batik shirts.
Women are encouraged to wear a complete baju kurung with keringkam or other suitable attire.
To ensure smooth traffic flow, Astana Sarawak has arranged two designated parking zones.
“Zone B, located at the Sarawak State Legislative Assembly area, provides 500 parking spaces.
“If Zone B is full, visitors will be directed to Zone C at Wisma Bapa Malaysia. Ten shuttle vans will operate from 9am to 4pm to transport visitors from the parking areas to the main entrance of Astana Sarawak,” it said.
Police personnel will be deployed to manage traffic and ensure orderly movement throughout the event.
The public are strictly advised not to park along the roadside leading to Astana to avoid traffic congestion.
