BINTULU: A total of 77 vehicles of various types have been inspected during the Ops Hari Raya Aidilfitri (HRA) 2026 carried out by the Road Transport Department (RTD) through its Bintulu branch on Sunday (March 22).
The operation involved enforcement activities through patrols and monitoring around the Bintulu town area.
Among the offences detected were the use of mobile phones while driving, driving without a valid licence, expired Motor Vehicle Licence (LKM), absence of insurance coverage, as well as other technical vehicle-related offences.
RTD said appropriate action was taken against offenders in accordance with the provisions of the law.
The department added that it will continue to intensify enforcement efforts to ensure the safety and well-being of road users, especially during the festive season.
