KOTA PADAWAN: Five individuals were taken into custody for allegedly performing reckless and dangerous stunts with their motorcycles along the Pehin Sri Adenan Satem Highway (FAC).
The arrests were made during an integrated ‘Ops Samseng Jalanan’ carried out by Padawan traffic police from May 2 to 3, targeting reckless riding and traffic offences linked to street racing activities.
Police also confiscated 13 motorcycles for further investigations, many of which were found to be modified or not in compliance with regulations.
A total of 114 vehicles and 105 individuals were inspected throughout the operation.

In addition, 96 summonses were issued for various offences, including riding without valid licences and displaying licence plates that did not meet specifications.
Meanwhile, police reminded the public that roads are not a venue for dangerous stunts, warning that such behaviour could lead to serious injuries or fatalities.
Parents and guardians have also been urged to monitor the movements of their children, especially at night, to help prevent such activities from escalating into more serious incidents.
