SIBU: In conjunction with Mother’s Day month of May, Pelawan Assemblyman Datuk Michael Tiang Ming Tee will be distributing 1,300 elegant thermal flasks as a token of appreciation and respect to mothers in the Pelawan constituency.
This Mother’s Day gift distribution programme will be held on May 24 (Sun), at 2 pm at Hin Hua Memorial Park, and will continue until all gifts have been fully distributed.
Tiang stated that mothers have long dedicated themselves selflessly to their families and represent the most caring and resilient force in society.
“On this special occasion, this small gesture is intended to convey sincere blessings to all mothers while also promoting the values of filial piety, respect for the elderly, and community care,” he said in a statement yesterday (May 20).
Tiang, who is also Deputy Minister of Public Health, Housing and Local Government said a total of 1,300 gifts have been prepared and will be distributed to eligible female voters in the Pelawan constituency, with a limit of one gift per person to ensure wider community benefit from it.
He also reminded participants to bring their identification cards for on-site registration and verification to facilitate a smooth collection process.
He warmly invited all eligible female voters in the Pelawan constituency to attend and spend a meaningful and heartwarming afternoon together at Hin Hua Memorial Park on that day.
