KUCHING: The Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Sarawak (ACCCIS) will host a complimentary online webinar on Jun 11 to help local businesses grasp environmental, social and governance (ESG) principles amid a shifting global corporate landscape.
The webinar, titled ‘Now or Never?’, will be held via Zoom from 11am to 12 noon and will be conducted entirely in Mandarin.
According to an ACCCIS statement, the session is part of the chamber’s ongoing initiatives to bridge knowledge gaps among local small and medium enterprises (SMEs) regarding sustainability practices.
“As ESG principles continue to gain global traction, they are increasingly shaping business operations, investment decisions, supply chain requirements, and corporate partnerships.
“Companies worldwide are placing greater emphasis on sustainability, transparency, and responsible business conduct,” the statement read.
Through this webinar, the chamber aims to clarify ESG fundamentals, highlight emerging trends, and encourage businesses to build foundational awareness for future operational transformations.
The event will feature Abacus Malaysia PLT Audit Partner Low Kok Fei, who will share insights on evolving business expectations and outline practical approaches for companies to gradually integrate ESG practices into their current frameworks.
ACCCIS members, entrepreneurs, business owners, and interested members of the public are invited to register by Jun 5.
