KAPIT: A total of RM466,000 in Hulu Rajang parliamentary allocation grants has been distributed to recipients from the Baleh, Sekeroh Oyan and Gaat areas here to support local community development.

Hulu Rajang MP Datuk Wilson Ugak Kumbong said the allocation reflects the government’s ongoing efforts to empower grassroots development, particularly through support for educational institutions, associations and local clubs.

“The distribution of these funds is expected to help strengthen organisational management at the community level and facilitate the implementation of development programmes that directly benefit the people,” he said in his speech during a cheque presentation ceremony held at Rumah Kuling Anak Luat, Sepata, Baleh today (May 25).

Ugak, who is also Deputy Digital Minister, said the allocation focuses on schools, sports clubs, and longhouse committees to support human capital development and youth activities in rural areas.
