SIBU: A Toyota Harrier was found submerged in a drain after it reportedly lost control along Simpang Masuk Jalan Apollo Timur here early this morning.
Firefighters from the Sungai Merah fire station were dispatched to the scene, located about 6km away, and arrived six minutes later.
Upon inspection, firefighters found the sport utility vehicle (SUV) inside the drain but no occupants were found in or around the vehicle.
Initial checks indicated the vehicle had veered off the road before ending up in the drain.
Bomba personnel also confirmed that no victims were trapped in the vehicle.
After ensuring the area was safe and no rescue operation was required, the team concluded the operation at about 3.50 am.
