VERSATILE actress and TV host Che Puan Sarimah Ibrahim has announced plans to take legal action over alleged false accusations, defamatory remarks and online harassment directed at her on social media.

The matter was revealed through a post on Threads, where she shared an official statement issued by her legal representatives from law firm Arif Azmi & Co.

“The time has come to do this,” she wrote, referring to the legal action that will be taken against those involved.

However, the ‘Konspirasi’ actress did not elaborate on the specific circumstances that prompted her decision.

According to the statement, various efforts had previously been made to resolve the matter privately.

Despite these attempts, the alleged actions affecting Sarimah’s reputation reportedly continued, leading her to pursue legal measures to safeguard her credibility.

“Before taking legal action, our client and her representatives made every effort to address this matter privately and respectfully.

“Unfortunately, the harmful conduct has persisted.

“Our client has therefore instructed us to commence legal proceedings to protect her reputation, personal wellbeing and professional interests,” the statement read.

The statement further noted that all relevant evidence has been preserved and remains under the supervision of the appropriate parties.

“This includes the preservation of evidential materials and the monitoring of any publication, sharing or republication of content deemed defamatory,” it added.

In the comments section, many netizens voiced their support for Sarimah’s firm stance, describing it as a necessary step to prevent irresponsible individuals from continuing to spread false allegations.

“It’s okay, Che Puan. What matters most is your wellbeing and mental health,” wrote one Threads user.
