KUCHING: Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi has been invited to officiate the eighth International Conference of Applied and Creative Arts (ICACA 2026), scheduled to be held at Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) this September.
The invitation was extended during a courtesy call by the ICACA 2026 organising committee at Astana Negeri Sarawak today (June 18).
Led by UNIMAS Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr Ahmad Hata Rasit, the delegation met Fauziah to formally invite her to officiate at the conference, which will take place at the Experimental Theatre of the Faculty of Applied and Creative Arts (FSGK) from September 23 to 25.
ICACA is a biennial conference first organised in 2006 with support from PETRONAS and in collaboration with various local and international institutions to advance academic scholarship in conservation and creative arts innovation.
This year’s edition is jointly organised with Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) and Institut Seni Indonesia Yogyakarta.
The conference carries the theme, ‘Co-Creating Sustainable Future in Applied and Creative Arts Technology’.
Also present during the courtesy call were FSGK Dean, Dr Louis Ringah Kanyan; ICACA 2026 Chairman, Dr Laura Prati; and deputy chairpersons, Dr Mawar Suhaila and Dr Jong Sze Hoon.
