KUCHING: The remains of Datuk Kamil Misuari, husband of Women, Family and Community Development Minister and Santubong MP Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri, will be flown home to Kuching today (Jun 19) for final funeral rites and burial.
According to a schedule released by the Minister’s Office and the P193 Santubong Parliamentary Office, Allahyarham’s remains will leave Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) at 11am aboard Malaysia Airlines flight MH2520.
The flight is expected to arrive at Kuching International Airport (KIA) at 12.50pm.
The remains will then be transported to Nancy’s official residence at No. 6, Lot 7035, Taman Serira, Lorong Menggris 2A, Petra Jaya, with arrival expected at about 2.50pm.
Funeral prayers are scheduled to be held at the residence at 4.40pm before the remains are taken to the Samariang Islamic Cemetery for burial.
The office noted that all timings are subject to change.
The late Kamil passed away in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday (Jun 18) and messages of condolence have since poured in from national and state leaders, government agencies and members of the public.
