MIRI: A 1.5-metre python was safely removed from a house in Senadin here on Thursday (July 2) after firefighters responded to an emergency call from a homeowner.
The Lutong Fire and Rescue Station received the distress call at 12:54 pm and dispatched a team to a house in Jalan Sena 1E, Taman Senadin, here.
Upon arrival, firefighters confirmed the presence of the python inside the house before using specialised snake-handling equipment to capture it safely.
Firefighters remained at the scene until they were satisfied the area was safe before returning to the station.
