SEBUYAU: The opening of the Batang Lupar 1 Bridge has brought significant changes to daily life for residents in the coastal areas, with many welcoming the improved connectivity and easier access to surrounding towns.
Residents interviewed by Sarawak Tribune said the bridge had shortened travelling time, eased daily commutes and created new opportunities for local economic activities.

“I am proud to see the development taking place in Sarawak. Life today is much easier compared with the past because of the improved infrastructure and facilities provided by the Sarawak government.
“I believe these developments will continue to benefit future generations.”

“The Batang Lupar 1 Bridge has been completed, and we are looking forward to the completion of Batang Lupar 2 as well.
“I have great confidence in our government’s leadership and believe more development projects will continue to benefit the people.”

“My husband and I use this route to travel to work, so the completion of the bridge has saved us a lot of travelling time.
“I have also noticed more visitors coming to the area, which has helped boost local business and economic activities.”

“I no longer have to travel far to refuel because I can now cross the bridge to a nearby petrol station within a few minutes.
