GEDONG: A young boy sustained a leg injury after two lorries carrying soil collided at the entrance to the Tabung Haji plantation at Bukit Engkarit along the Pan Borneo Highway near here this morning (Jul 11).

The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said the accident was reported at 9.01 am.
Firefighters from the Serian station arrived at the scene at 9.22 am and found both victims had already been rescued by members of the public before their arrival.
A boy, who suffered an injury to his right leg, received initial treatment from the Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) team before being taken to Serian Hospital.
The other victim, an adult man, escaped unhurt.
The operation concluded at 9.45 am after firefighters ensured the area was safe.
Six personnel, a fire rescue tender (FRT) and an EMRS vehicle were deployed to the scene.
