BAU: The highly popular Siniawan Country Music Festival (SCMF) will return from Sept 25 to 27, promising another three-day celebration of country music, cowboy culture and local flavours.
The 2026 edition will be held at the Siniawan Waterfront and historic old town, with admission free to all visitors.
Serembu assemblyman Datuk Miro Simuh said the SCMF organising committee had held its first meeting recently to kick-start preparations for this year’s festival.
“We’re a little late in holding our meeting this year due to some issues that needed to be resolved, but now we’re running full speed,” he said.
Miro said more details on the festival programmewould be announced in the coming weeks, but confirmed that the dates had been finalised.
“Lots more details to follow in the coming weeks but the dates are set, Sept 25 to 27.
“Save the date cowboys and cowgirls, it’s gonnabe epic,” he said.
SCMF has grown rapidly in popularity in recent years, establishing itself as one of the biggest country music festivals in Malaysia and the wider region.
The festival is renowned for drawing tens of thousands of visitors to Siniawan, turning the historic town into a lively western-themed celebration featuring live country bands, line dancing and beer gardens.
Visitors can also enjoy a wide selection of local delicacies and street food at the town’s popular night market, adding a distinctly Sarawakianflavour to the country music experience.
With its combination of free admission, live entertainment, colourful cowboy-themed festivities and local cuisine, SCMF has become a major attraction for both local visitors and tourists.
This year’s festival is expected to further strengthen Siniawan’s reputation as a vibrant destination for music, food and heritage tourism, while providing a major boost to local businesses and the surrounding community.
