KUALA LUMPUR: Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof has called on Malaysians to honour the sacrifices of the nation’s heroes who dedicated their lives to defending the country’s sovereignty, peace, and security.
In a post on the X platform in conjunction with the 2026 Warriors’ Day celebration, Fadillah said this year’s observance, themed “Mengenang Jasa, Mengukuh Pertahanan”, should inspire patriotism and remind Malaysians of the invaluable contributions of those who fought for the nation, from the struggle against colonial rule and the communist insurgency to present-day security operations.
“Every sacrifice made by the nation’s heroes is a symbol of courage, loyalty, and unwavering love for the homeland. Their sacrifices form the foundation of the peace, stability, and prosperity we enjoy today,” he said.
Fadillah, who is also the Minister of Energy Transition and Water Transformation, said the service and sacrifices of the nation’s warriors would forever remain etched in history and in the hearts of Malaysians.
He urged the public to emulate the courage, loyalty, and patriotism displayed by the country’s security personnel in strengthening national unity and building a more peaceful, prosperous, and resilient Malaysia.
“May Allah SWT bestow His mercy upon the souls of our fallen warriors, grant strength and well-being to those who continue to serve, and protect Malaysia so that it remains peaceful, sovereign, and blessed.
