KUCHING: Nine areas in Sarawak recorded unhealthy Air Pollutant Index (API) readings as of 4:00 pm today (Aug. 13), with Serian recording the highest at 178.
According to the Natural Resources and Environment Board (NREB), Samarahan recorded the second highest reading at 177, followed by Kuching at 174 and Tebedu at 171.
Sri Aman recorded an API of 162, followed by Sarikei at 157, Mukah at 152 and Sibu at 151.
Lundu also remained in the unhealthy category with an API reading of 109.
Meanwhile, air quality in other monitored areas remained at moderate levels, including Bintulu at 97, Lubok Antu (90), Samalaju (88), Miri (85), ILP Miri (70), Kapit (66), Lawas (64), Limbang (61) and Bario (54).
