KOTA SAMARAHAN: Three local men were arrested during an integrated crime-prevention operation conducted by the Kota Samarahan District Police Headquarters (IPD) from August 20 to 21.

Kota Samarahan police said one of the suspects was arrested for an offence under Section 380 of the Penal Code, while the other two were detained for allegedly driving with an alcohol concentration exceeding the permitted limit under Section 45A of the Road Transport Act 1987.
The operation focused on roadblocks, vehicle and individual inspections, as well as crime-prevention patrols at hotspots and other areas of concern around Kota Samarahan.
Throughout the operation, police inspected 90 vehicles and 92 individuals.
A total of 14 PDRM (K) 257 summonses were also issued for various traffic offences.
Police said the operation was part of its ongoing efforts to curb criminal activities, improve compliance with the law, and ensure public safety and order in the district.
The district police headquarters also said it would continue to intensify targeted patrols and operations, particularly at crime hotspots, as a preventive measure.
