BALINGIAN: The RM300,000 road upgrading project to Rumah Panjang Langi Tuma, Sungai Seturaang here, is set to provide residents with better, safer and more comfortable access.

Balingian assemblyman Abdul Yakub Arbi said the road improvement is important to ensure rural communities have more comfortable and safer connectivity.

He said better road facilities would not only ease residents’ movement but also support local economic and social activities.

“The road improvement to the longhouse will not only facilitate residents’ movement, but also improve access to facilities as well as economic and social activities within the community.

“I hope the facility provided will be fully utilised by the residents of Rumah Panjang Langi Tuma and provide greater convenience in their daily affairs,” he said after witnessing the project site handover ceremony here today.

Abdul Yakub said good connectivity infrastructure is among the important needs in supporting the development of rural communities, including residents’ mobility and socioeconomic activities.

He expressed hope that the facility would improve the smoothness and safety of travel for residents of Rumah Panjang Langi Tuma and surrounding areas.
