SIMANGGANG: Three men, including an elderly rider, were injured following a two-vehicle collision along the Pan Borneo Highway near Sri Aman today.
The crash occurred along Jalan Sri Aman-Betong and involved two men, aged 43 and 56, travelling in the Toyota Hilux, and the 74-year-old man riding the motorcycle.
Both Hilux occupants managed to get out of the vehicle on their own and suffered head injuries.
The motorcyclist, meanwhile, sustained injuries to his head, hands and legs.
Firefighters from Sri Aman station were dispatched to the scene, about nine kilometres away, following a distress call at 11:24 am.
Upon arrival, they confirmed the accident and administered initial treatment for the victims. All the injured victims were taken to Sri Aman Hospital for further medical care.
The team also conducted flushing works to clear debris left on the road following the collision.
Once the situation was deemed safe, the operations ended at 12:25 pm.
