KUCHING: The Election Commission (EC) will begin publicly displaying proposals for 17 new Sarawak state constituencies from tomorrow as part of its redelineation exercise.
According to an FMT report, the notices will be displayed for one month at various locations within each parliamentary constituency, allowing members of the public to examine the proposed boundaries and submit objections or representations to the EC.
The exercise will increase the number of seats in the StateLegislative Assembly from the current 82 to 99.
The public display will also include proposed new names for several existing state constituencies.
