SIBU: Concert Carnival SibuJaya 2026, scheduled for Sept 5, has been postponed due to worsening transboundary haze conditions.
Amcorp SibuJaya Sdn Bhd, in an official statement issued today, said the decision was made after Air Pollutant Index (API) readings exceeded unhealthy levels in several districts.
The company said the postponement was a proactive measure aimed at safeguarding the health and safety of the community, performers and crew, while also adhering to government advisories on outdoor activities.
“A new date for the concert will be announced once environmental conditions improve and it is safe to gather outdoors,” the statement said.
The organisers also expressed their appreciation to members of the public, vendors, sponsors and partners for their understanding and continued support.
