KUCHING: A charity musical night here is aiming to raise at least RM50,000 to support therapy and daily operations for children with cerebral palsy.

Organised by Persatuan Impian Hiburan dan Seni Kuching, the Charity Musical Night 2026 will be held at Xiang Ge Restaurant on Oct 25 at 6.30 pm.

Association chairwoman Sharon Bong said the fundraiser would help Wishesland Kuching recruit more physiotherapists and meet its monthly operating expenses of about RM20,000.

“This will be the fifth fundraising dinner organised by our association for Wishesland Kuching, with more than RM180,000 raised through the previous four charity concert nights,” she said in a statement.

Part of this year’s proceeds may also be channelled to other Wishesland branches, particularly its Sibu centre, to support their daily operations.

Founded in 2009 by parents and individuals caring for children with cerebral palsy, Wishesland currently operates from Rumah Sri Sebandi, also known as the White House, at Jalan Crookshank.

It also has branches in Miri, Sibu and Selangor.

The organisation provides individual therapy sessions, as many of the children under its care require close physical assistance.

The musical night will feature a red-carpet entry, with individual packages priced at RM368 and couple packages at RM666.

The packages include dinner admission, a certificate and a portrait photograph displayed on an LED screen.
