KUCHING: Only schools under 12 district education offices (PPDs) in Sarawak will implement home-based teaching and learning (PdPR) from Monday (Sept 7).
The Sarawak State Education Department (JPNS) clarified that schools outside the affected districts will resume normal face-to-face operations on the same day.
The 12 PPDs involved are Kuching, Padawan, Bau, Lundu, Samarahan, Simunjan, Serian, Sri Aman, Lubok Antu, Kanowit, Julau and Meradong.
“Only schools in the districts mentioned during the press conference will implement PdPR,” JPNS said in its official Facebook page today (Sept 5).
It said the clarification followed its press conference and official statement issued on Friday (Sept 4) regarding school operations.
“For schools that are not within the districts mentioned, school operations will continue as usual, with face-to-face learning beginning Sept 7,” it said.
JPNS urged schools, parents, guardians and students to take note of the clarification and refer only to official announcements from the department or their respective schools for the latest information.
