KUCHING: Sarawak Energy will extend its dedicated billing support counters to Sibu, Bintulu and Miri following recent concerns raised by customers over their electricity bills.

The initiative, first held at Wisma SESCO here from Sept 2 to 4, will continue until October to provide customers with a faster avenue to seek clarification and have their accounts reviewed.

Sarawak Energy said it had identified 22 customer cases raised recently on Facebook.

Of these, 20 customers have been engaged, while one newly received case will be followed up and another customer could not be contacted based on the information available.

“Customers with any other billing concerns are encouraged to contact Sarawak Energy directly for review and follow-up,” it said in a statement today.

Each case will be examined based on the customer’s account, billing and meter records, with the findings explained to the customer.

Any discrepancy involving meter readings or billing detected during the review will be investigated and addressed accordingly.

Customers seeking a further review of the amount charged may submit an appeal with relevant supporting information, while flexible payment arrangements may also be offered to help them manage their accounts.

Billing concerns and enquiries can also be submitted through the Sarawak Energy Cares Facebook page at www.facebook.com/SarawakEnergycares.

Customers may also contact the Customer Care Centre at 1300-88-3111, email customercare@sarawakenergy.com, use the SEB cares mobile app or visit their nearest Sarawak Energy customer service counter.
