National songstress Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza continues to demonstrate her enduring influence in Malaysia’s music industry after leading the nominations for the 25th Anugerah Industri Muzik (AIM25) with an impressive 14 nods.
The singer, fondly known as TokTi, emerged as the artiste with the highest number of nominations this year, highlighting the strength and diversity of her work across various areas of music.
Among her major nominations is Best Female Vocal for ‘Kesuma’.
Siti is also in the running for Best Collaboration Between Local and International Artiste/Songwriter for three songs – ‘Cenderamaya’, ‘Kumbang Bunga’ and ‘Jenjang Cinta’.
In the Best Traditional Song category, she received nominations for ‘Kesuma’, ‘Rencong’, ‘Hujung Bumi’ and ‘Pesanan Buat Diri’.
Her album ‘Gema Bumantara’ earned nominations in the Best Album and Best Album Recording categories.
Meanwhile, ‘Pesanan Buat Diri’ is nominated for Best Music Arrangement in Malaysia and Best Song Recording, with ‘Kesuma’ also receiving a nomination in the latter category.
Siti’s festive song ‘Raya Nak Ke Mana?’ also earned her a nomination for Best Festive Song.
The wide-ranging nominations reflect the diversity of Siti’s musical repertoire, spanning traditional and festive music, international collaborations, as well as vocal performance and production.
Aisha Retno is among her closest contenders with six nominations, while Hael Husaini and Mimifly each received five.
Alpha earned four nominations, while Shila Amzah and Aina Abdul each received three.
AIM25 will take place at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK), Sarawak, on September 26.
The 25th edition marks a milestone for the awards ceremony as AIM will be held in Sarawak for the first time.
