A sense of serenity in the early hours of the morning – well before daybreak
From my perch – my balcony – the fresh morning air, my source of invigoration
I’m a self-confessed creature of habit when it comes to my weekday morning routine
For me, each new day begins with a cup of piping-hot coffee and a couple of toasted buns!
After breakfast on a beautiful Thursday morning, I made a beeline for the Kuching Waterfront
An early riser, I arrived at the waterfront with time to spare – yes, time to catch the sunrise!
From my vantage point on the Darul Hana Bridge, I enjoyed spectacular views of the sunrise
A sight to behold – the sun’s rays added fresh hues to Kuching’s vibrant canvas, a living gallery!
From the Darul Hana Bridge, I made my way to the jetty (Pangkalan Sapi) to enjoy a boat ride
Sarawak’s iconic river taxi (Perahu Tambang) – a must-try and a wonderful way to take in the sights!
In the afternoon, accompanied by my daughter, a whirlwind tour in the heart of downtown Kuching
Including quick stops at the India Street Pedestrian Mall, the Floating Mosque and the iconic cat statue.
One of the highlights of our tour – a sharing session by Mr Ho Chin Hin, a third-generation tinsmith
An eye-opener – fascinating insights into the century-old business (Ho Nyen Foh) at Bishopsgate Street
In the evening – breaking of fast with friends – a priceless moment during the Holy Month of Ramadan
Kuching is a gem of a place – truly, a city like no other – the best way to describe our beautiful city – home.
