SIBU: Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg will officiate at the Menara Rimbunan’s new facade and interior renovations launching ceremony on May 13.
According to the group’s managing director, Datuk Tiong Thai King, the launching ceremony of the large-scale renovation project by the group, is held in conjunction with its Golden Jubilee celebration.
“Premier Abang Johari will also attend the Rimbunan Hijau Group’s Golden Jubilee Gala Dinner at Tun Abdul Taib Mahmud Chancellor Hall, University of Technology Sarawak, on the same day,” he told a press conference here yesterday (April 21).
Meanwhile, speaking about the Rimbunan Hijau Group, Tiong said that over the past 50 years, the group had taken root in Sibu, stepped out of Sarawak and Malaysia, and ventured into the international market with diversified businesses in countries around the world.
“The founder of the Rimbunan Hijau Group, my eldest brother, Tan Sri Sir Tiong Hiew King, has established a very solid foundation. Even when faced with occasional challenges, we have tackled them together and achieved today’s success through teamwork.
“With a grateful and humble heart, we welcome the 50th anniversary of the RH Group, and we hope that the RH Group will be even more successful in the future and continue contributing to the economies of Sibu, Sarawak, and Malaysia,” he said.
