LAWAS: Construction of four additional teachers’ quarters at Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Long Luping here is more than 80 per cent complete.
Public Works Department (PWD) Sarawak said the project has achieved 80.87 per cent physical progress and is 22.87 per cent ahead of schedule.
PWD Sarawak’s Director, Datuk Dr Cassidy Morris, visited the site on Thursday to inspect the progress and ensure the project is being implemented according to the required specifications, quality and timeline.
The project involves the construction of four additional teachers’ quarters and supporting facilities aimed at improving accommodation for educators serving in the rural area.
According to the department, the improved facilities are expected to support a better teaching and learning environment for both teachers and pupils at the school.
“The project forms part of ongoing efforts to enhance educational infrastructure and facilities in Sarawak’s interior,” the department added.
