KUCHING: Allianz General Insurance Company (M) Bhd yesterday distributed free new helmets to motorists passing by at the Kuching Sentral Bus Terminal.
Also distributed were stickers, jackets , car safety belt covers and child seat boosters. The new helmets were distributed to motorcyclists with old or worn out helmets, whereas the child seat boosters were distributed to car drivers with children aged between four to eight years old.
Branch Manager of Allianz General Insurance Company (M) Berhad Cyprian Chang said the worn-out helmets were verified by Sarawak Road Safety Department (JKJR) before the motorists were given the new helmets.
He said the last time Allianz General Insurance Company (M) Bhd distributed free helmets to motorcyclists in Kuching was two years ago.
Last two years, we distributed the helmets before Chinese New Year,” he said.
Also together with Cyprian Chang and his staff in distributing the helmets and the other items to motorcyclists yesterday were Director of Sarawak Road Safety Department Davina Agnes Enteli and her staff.
