KUCHING: Sarawak People’s Aspiration Party (Aspirasi) is eyeing four seats in the coming general election (GE15).
Party president Lina Soo said the four seats are Kuching, Serian, Puncak Borneo and Mas Gading.
“One urban and three sub-urban seats. As you know, our party’s roots are in southern Sarawak. So this is where we want to contest in this general election.
“We have potential candidates but we will not announce yet. We will reveal when the election gets closer,” she told a media conference after announcing Aspirasi’s new tagline Parti Adupta, yesterday (Aug 22).
On a related matter, she said it is about time that opposition parties united and worked together.
“We will try our best to compromise with other political parties”, she said, adding that talks are still ongoing with other opposition parties.
