KOTA SAMARAHAN: A total of 45 students from the Muara Tuang constituency recently received educational aid amounting to RM18,500.
Its assemblyman, Datuk Idris Buang, pointed out that education is the most important investment for the future and forms the foundation of societal and state development.
“In Islam, knowledge comes before worship, because without knowledge, worship will not be complete. Knowledge also leads us to a brighter path, enables us to care for our parents, and elevates the dignity of our families,” he said during a presentation ceremony for the education aid at the Muara Tuang N.16 Constituency Operations Centre, Taman Desa Ilmu.
In the event, he also reminded students to always obey, love, and appreciate the sacrifices of their parents, while upholding good morals – as that good character reflects a person’s true self.
Idris further urged students to study diligently, make the best use of available opportunities, and eventually contribute their expertise to help society and the state of Sarawak.
“Although this assistance may not be large, it can at least help reduce the burden on students and their families.
“My Service Centre, together with the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) government, will always remain committed to supporting the people of Muara Tuang for a better future,” he said.
The aid aims to ease the financial burden of students who will be pursuing studies at certificate, diploma, and degree levels, while also motivating them to continue striving for success in academics.
