MIRI: Angkatan Zaman Mansang (AZAM) Sarawak continues to intensify its efforts in youth development through strategic collaborations by paying a courtesy call on Curtin University Malaysia on Monday (June 22).
The AZAM delegation, led by Chief Executive Officer, Ali Suhaili, was welcomed by Curtin University Malaysia’s Pro-Vice Chancellor, President and Chief Executive Officer, Professor Vincent Lee Chieng Chen.
Ali emphasised that close cooperation between community organisations and institutions of higher learning is a key catalyst for nurturing a resilient, competitive younger generation prepared for future challenges.
“Through this collaboration, we can create more spaces and opportunities for students to hone their potential, expand their experience, and play an active role in community and state development,” he said.
The meeting served as an important platform for both parties to exchange views and strengthen synergies in empowering youth, specifically in leadership, volunteerism and talent development.
Additionally, proposals were discussed for organising debates and intellectual discourse programmes to sharpen critical thinking and communication skills among university students.
Both parties also expressed continuous commitment to strengthening existing strategic relationships and expanding youth involvement in high-impact community development initiatives.
