SELANGAU: A 12-year-old boy was found after going missing at Nanga Meruan Dijih here for four days since March 18.
Mukah Police Chief DSP Muhamad Rizal Alias said that the victim, Desmond Irang Julia, was discovered at around 9.55 am today.
“The child was found by the Search and Rescue Operation (SAR) team from the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department in a forested area, approximately 50 metres from the longhouse,” he said in a statement today.
He added that after being found, the child was taken to the Selangau Health Clinic for further examination.
“With this discovery, the SAR that was activated has been concluded at 10.30 am today.
“The police would like to thank the media, the agencies involved, and the public who assisted in efforts to locate the missing person,” he added.
