KUCHING: The Community Care Enrichment Programme (CCEP) Foundation has continued its commitment to supporting healthcare services in Sarawak, marking its fourth donation of medical equipment to hospitals across the state.

Chief Executive Officer of CCEP, Yvonne Yee, said the initiative reflects the foundation’s ongoing efforts to ease the burden on public healthcare facilities while improving patient care.

“This is our fourth contribution of medical equipment to hospitals in Sarawak. Previously, we supported several facilities, including Hospital Lundu, Hospital Serian and Hospital Marudi with essential equipment,” she said during a donation ceremony held at the Sarawak General Hospital today (30 April).

Among the earlier contributions were two vital-signs monitoring machines and five hospital beds for Hospital Lundu, an RM30,000 OAE machine for early hearing screening of newborns at Hospital Serian, and two ECG machines, along with mattresses and pillows, for Hospital Marudi.

Additionally, Yvonne said the foundation recently responded to a request from a hospital director for medicine syringe pumps, promptly agreeing to donate two units.

“The contribution was made possible with the support of Theophilus Wong, Chairman of SAMENTA Sarawak and Fish Camp Learning Sdn Bhd Kuching, who also serves as a trustee of CCEP.

“Upon learning about the donation, he was deeply moved and expressed his wish to contribute to his hometown.

“As such, the two medicine syringe pumps are donated under his company, Fish Camp Learning Sdn Bhd,” she said.

The CCEP Foundation, established in February 2022, has since helped numerous patients nationwide in raising funds for critical treatments and procedures, including liver transplants, heart surgeries, cochlear implants, and medical scans.

She stressed that assistance is provided regardless of race or religion, as long as the recipients are Malaysians in need.

“In 2025, CCEP Foundation received tax exemption approval, which has further strengthened donor confidence and support for our initiatives,” she added.

Yvonne also revealed that the foundation has expanded its presence with branches in Miri and Alor Setar, while plans are underway to establish a liaison centre in Kuching and a new branch in Melaka.

She expressed hope that the foundation can continue expanding nationwide to deliver aid more efficiently, particularly in underserved areas of Sarawak.

“We welcome support from the community, including leaders, individuals and all who are willing to contribute, so that together we can build a caring and compassionate society,” she said.
