DALAT: A total of 40 members of the Dalat District Civil Defence Force (APM) participated in a post-flood cleanup operation recently.

According to the Dalat APM officer, Second Lieutenant (PA) Muhammad Helmi Halim, the cleanup effort began at 8 am until 6 pm.

“Before starting, all personnel received a briefing on their assigned tasks. Within a day, we managed to clean the area in front of the Dalat District APM building, the vehicle parking lot, and the Dalat Waterfront,” he said.

Helmi also emphasised that APM remains ready to assist in cleaning flood-affected areas, including schools here that require help.

“Such cleanup activities not only help restore affected areas but it strengthens camaraderie among our personnel,” he added.

The effort also ensures that traders can resume their businesses in a cleaner and more comfortable environment.

Despite the challenges of post-flood recovery, community-wide cleanup initiatives are essential in making the process smoother and more efficient.
