DARO: A total of 10 mosque and surau management committees (JKP), along with the Daro Fire and Rescue Station, received sacrificial aid contributions worth RM77,000 from the Daro Malay Welfare Trust Board (LAKMD).

Daro assemblyman Dr Safiee Ahmad said that sacrificial worship contributions not only help enliven Islamic teachings but also serve as a medium to strengthen unity and togetherness within the community.

“The sacrificial ritual educates Muslims about the values of sacrifice, sincerity and the spirit of sharing sustenance with those in need,” he said this while speaking at an event held at Masjid Al-Muhsiniin here on Friday (May 22).

At the same event, a total of 12 non-governmental organisations (NGOs) around the Daro area also received Minor Rural Project (MRP) grants amounting to RM129,000 in total to help carry out various activities benefiting the local community.

“At the same time, it is hoped that the MRP grants channelled to NGOs will be fully utilised to implement programmes that have a positive impact on society,” he said.

In another development, he also explained the rapid progress of development currently being and already implemented in the Daro area through various infrastructure projects and public facilities aimed at improving the people’s well-being.

He said that the implementation of various development projects proves the government’s commitment to ensuring that rural areas are not left behind in the current wave of development.

According to him, among the main focuses of development in the Daro area are the improvement of basic facilities, road networks, local economic development, educational facilities, and infrastructure capable of providing comfort to residents.

“The rapid development being implemented today is the result of close cooperation between the government and the people in ensuring that the Daro area continues to progress and benefit future generations,” he added.

He also called on all parties to continue maintaining unity and the spirit of cooperation to ensure that the development agenda in the Daro area can be implemented more effectively in the future.
