KUCHING: A total of 156 sales stalls will be opened along Jalan Gambier and Lebuh Java in conjunction with the International Dragon Boat Regatta and Sarawak Regatta 2026.
Kuching North City Hall (DBKU) said the stalls would be available during the regatta events from Oct 23 to 25 and Oct 30 to Nov 1.
It said the stalls would comprise 77 lots for textiles, accessories, children’s toys and other items, 70 lots for food and beverages, and nine lots for grilled food.
“The fee imposed for the entire six-day period is RM160 per stall,” DBKU said on Wednesday (Sept 9).
It added that each trader would be responsible for providing their own tables, chairs and a blue 10ft by 10ft canopy throughout the business period.
Applications will be opened online on Sept 15 from 9am to 5pm via the DBKU website.
DBKU said applicants must provide valid telephone numbers and email addresses to facilitate notification of their application status.
Applicants are also required to submit passport-sized photographs and copies of identity cards for themselves and their stall assistants or workers.
For food and beverage, including grilled food applications, applicants must also possess and submit a copy of the DBKU Food Handler Card.
“Applicants for the food and beverage category, including grilled food, are required to possess a DBKU Food Handler Card as one of the application requirements.”
DBKU said all applications would undergo document screening before being considered for the ballot.
“Only complete applications that meet the stipulated requirements will be considered for the ballot.”
The ballot will be conducted on Sept 29 and can be viewed live via DBKU’s Facebook page.
