REPOK: Deputy Minister of Natural Resources, Environment and Climate Change Datuk Seri Huang Tiong Sii recently handed out 25 cheques to Parent and Teacher Associations (PTAs) across Repok constituency in a ceremony held at his service centre.
The recipients included two secondary schools: SMK Sungai Paoh and SMK Bandar Sarikei.
Additionally, 23 primary schools were awarded, among them the management boards of SK Agama (MIS) Sarikei, SJK St Martin, and SJK Su Kwong. Other primary schools receiving the aid were SJK Chung Hien, SRK Hua Kee, SJK (C) Bulat, SK Tanah Putih, SJK Su Tak, SJK Su Lok, SK Sg Paoh Sarikei, SK St Anne, SK Sungai Petai, SJK (C) Siung Hua, SJK (C) Su Lee, SJK Hua Nam, SJK (C) Ming Tak, SJK Sing Ming, SJK Su Hing, SJK Tiong Ho, SJK Wah Man, SK Methodist Anglo-Chinese, SK Selangan, and SRK Sze Lu.
Huang, who is also the Repok assemblyman, urged all the beneficiaries to utilise the funds in the best way possible for the improvement of their respective organisations and continuing activities that benefit the community.
