DALAT: Efforts to develop surau and mosques in the Dalat area are actively underway, supported by waqf land and government allocations.
Minister for Women, Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development, Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah stated that projects involving these places of worship will be implemented this year.
“We have worked hard to ensure that these projects are carried out this year for the benefit of the villagers.
Therefore, we hope to engage disciplined contractors to ensure everything runs smoothly,・she said.
Fatimah made these remarks during the Ramadan Visit Programme at Al-Huda Mosque, Kampung Sungai Kut Tengah, today.
During the event, Fatimah, who is also the Dalat assemblywoman, distributed donations to the asnaf community and contributed to mosque and surau activities in the Dalat District and Oya Sub-District.
The programme benefitted 470 individuals across six locations, including Al-Huda Mosque, Kampung Sungai Kut; Al-Hidayah Mosque, Kampung Medong; Al-Muslihin Mosque, Dalat; An-Nur Mosque, Kampung Balan; Darul Islah Mosque, Kampung Bakong; and At-Taqwa Mosque, Oya.
Additionally, nine mosques received allocations totalling RM32,500, while 14 surau were allocated RM35,000 to support their Ramadan activities.
Fatimah expressed hope that these contributions would be fully utilised to ensure that activities at the mosques and surau run smoothly.
