KUCHING: Hong Kong Disneyland will hold live open call auditions in Kuala Lumpur on June 20–21, as part of its regional effort to recruit dancers and character performers for its entertainment line-up.
The theme park said the auditions aim to identify talented individuals who can bring Disney characters to life on stage and contribute to its live shows, parades and character appearances.
“Hong Kong Disneyland is excited to expand its talent search to Malaysia. We believe that Malaysia’s vibrant artistic community is home to extraordinary performers,” it said in a statement yesterday (May 5).
The Kuala Lumpur auditions form part of the company’s wider casting tour across the region, where it has previously discovered performers from markets including Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan, the Philippines, South Korea and Thailand.
It added that the open call is designed to discover exceptional talent across Malaysia, particularly dancers and performers capable of embodying beloved Disney characters.
“By holding these auditions in Kuala Lumpur, we aim to tap into Malaysia’s unique artistic energy and discover new stars for our world-class entertainment productions,” it said.
Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work at Hong Kong Disneyland, performing in live stage shows, parades and character meet-and-greet sessions as part of the park’s entertainment offerings.
