KUCHING: Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) is appealing to the public to help locate the next-of-kin or family members of a patient identified as Madam X.
The patient was admitted to the Emergency and Trauma Department yesterday after being involved in a road accident.
SGH, in a statement today, said she was rescued and brought in by the Fire and Rescue Department after being hit by a motorcyclist while crossing the road at about 7 pm.
Hospital authorities said initial checks suggested that Madam X was unmarried and believed to be living alone.
Unfortunately, no further details can be obtained from the patient herself as her current condition leaves her weak and bedridden.
She is presently receiving medical care in the Yellow Zone of the Emergency and Trauma Department, where her condition continues to be monitored by the attending doctors and medical staff.
As SGH has no family contact details on record, the hospital is urging any next-of-kin, relatives, or individuals who may know the patient to step forward immediately.
