MIRI: A 26-year-old man miraculously escaped unhurt when his car hit a tree near Taman Awam early this morning.
The driver was trapped in his wrecked car after the accident. He was travelling from the city centre to Morsjaya when he lost control of his vehicle.
Miri fire station deployed nine firefighters and its Emergency Medical Rescue to the scene after receiving an alert call on the incident at 1.10am.
They reached the scene around 1.14am and managed to extricate the driver from the car within 15 minutes.
After that, the man was immediately taken to Miri Hospital.
Prior to the incident, the car was travelling from the city centre to Morsjaya.
