PADAWAN: Grab Malaysia and Coca-Cola have received Malaysia Book of Records (MBOR) recognition following the organisation of the Grab & Coca-Cola convoy in conjunction with the Gawai celebration at Kampung Annah Rais on Monday.

The MBOR award in the category of ‘Largest E-Hailing Vehicle Convoy for a Festive Celebration’ was presented after successfully assembling 100 vehicles for the event.

The recognition certificate was presented by MBOR representative Siti Hajar Johor to Grab Malaysia’s Head of Deliveries and Ads, Casey Chung and Coca-Cola Malaysia Franchise director, Kelvin Chan.

Puncak Borneo MP, Datuk Willie Mongin, was also present to witness the achievement.

Wee flags off the Grab & Coca-Cola Gawai Festival convoy alongside representatives from Grab Malaysia, Coca-Cola and 100 GrabCar driver partners at MBKS compound.

Earlier that day, Kuching South City Hall (MBKS) mayor Datuk Wee Hong Seng officiated at the flag-off of the convoy at the MBKS compound in Kuching.

The event, which began at 11.30 am, saw Grab drivers proceed to the Kuching Waterfront before passing through Siburan and onwards to Kampung Annah Rais.

The convoy, organised by Grab Malaysia in collaboration with Coca-Cola, aimed to enliven the Gawai celebration in Sarawak and strengthen ties with the local community through a programme that brought together people from all walks of life.
