KUCHING: Eight vehicles were seized during special operations targeting illegal HID and LED lights along Jalan Dato Patinggi Abdul Rahman Yakub here on Friday (Apr 10).
Sarawak Road Transport Department (RTD) said the seizures involved four cars, one pickup and three motorcycles for offences including expired road tax and no insurance.
“A total of 546 vehicles were inspected during the operations carried out by its Kuching enforcement unit,” the department said in a statement.
Among other offences detected were driving without a licence, expired licences, vehicles without registration numbers, and technical violations.
RTD said action was taken in accordance with existing laws.
